what is the greater grimsby renaissance partnership?

The GGRP was originally formed back in 2001 as the ‘Town Team’ to help direct and influence activities as part of Yorkshire Forward’s Renaissance Towns programme and above all making sure that local people have the opportunity to have their say about what happens to their town. The GGRP is a group of people with a common goal of changing Grimsby for the better and has representatives drawn from local businesses, community interest groups, voluntary organisations, residents and the local authority amongst others. The town centre is at the heart of the focus for change, although issues around other key areas of the town are also of interest. The Partnership plays an important practical role in renaissance project activity having been involved in the Victoria Street improvements and production of the town centre Masterplan. Members are also representing the GGRP on the development teams for the Tier 1 Masterplan projects giving direct input into these major proposals.

The GGRP is open to anyone, with meetings held every two months at Grimsby Town Hall. If you’re interested in helping change your town then please come along. You can find information from past meetings and notifications of future meetings in the downloads section.
